Turnover cleaning is not judged the way a house clean is. The standard is not "clean", it is "clean, restocked and photographed before the next guest walks in", and the window is usually five hours with no flexibility at either end. A late finish is not an inconvenience, it is a one-star review about the place not being ready.
That reshapes the work. A house clean runs room by room. A turnover runs by dependency: strip and start the first load of linen before anything else, because the washer and dryer are the only part of the job you cannot speed up. Bathrooms and kitchen while it runs. Beds made from the second load. Everything else fits around the machines.
It also means the job includes things a house clean never touches. Checking that the coffee, toilet paper and dish tabs are stocked. Resetting furniture that guests moved. Photographing the finished suite so the host has a record if a damage claim comes up later. Flagging anything broken while there is still time to deal with it before check-in.
Cultus Lake is the reason Chilliwack turnover is seasonal in a way most of the Fraser Valley is not. From late June to early September the units around the lake run back-to-back changeovers, often every single day, and the mess is specific: sand through the entryway and into every rug, wet towels and swimwear left on furniture, sunscreen residue on door handles and railings, and patio furniture and BBQs that guests genuinely do use. Budget more linen than a city unit and expect the outdoor space to be part of the clean, not an extra.
Vedder Crossing and the river corridor bring the tubing crowd through summer, which means the same wet-and-sandy pattern in smaller units, plus muddy footwear at the entry.
Garrison Crossing and Sardis are steadier year-round stock, closer to a conventional turnover: newer townhouses and apartments, business and family travel, less seasonal swing. These are the units where a consistent, repeatable turnover matters more than raw speed.
Promontory and Rosedale sit higher and further out, with larger homes that sleep bigger groups. More beds means more linen, and linen volume, not floor area, is what actually sets the time on a turnover.
That is the normal case and what the work is built around. Book the changeover date in the calculator and tell us the checkout and check-in times in the special instructions. Note that our earliest bookable date is currently two days out, so recurring hosts should set up a standing schedule rather than booking each changeover individually.
We strip, wash, dry and remake using the linen on site. Most hosts running back-to-back summer nights at Cultus keep two or three full sets per bed so the turnover is not waiting on a dryer, and we would recommend the same.
We restock from what you leave on site and tell you what is running low. We do not purchase supplies on your behalf.
We photograph it, leave it in place and contact you straight away rather than cleaning around it, so you still have the evidence and enough time to decide before the next check-in.
For lake and river properties, yes, and it matters more than hosts expect. Guests photograph the outdoor space. Tell us at booking if there is a hot tub, since those need their own handling and are not part of a standard turnover.
